These Terms of Service explain how services, payments, scheduling, and data are handled by Paws & Scoops. By scheduling or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. How Do I Pay?
Paws & Scoops uses a secure client portal to process all payments.
If you sign up through the instant quote button on our website, your account is created automatically.
If you do not sign up online, we will create an account for you after speaking with a Paws & Scoops representative. You will receive login information by email. Account setup takes under two minutes.
Inside your client portal, you can:
• View and pay invoices
• See records of past cleanups
• Link a credit or debit card to our secure payment platform
Once your card is linked, invoices are automatically generated and paid on your behalf, and receipts are emailed to you.
Payment Deadline Policy
All cleanups must be paid at least 24 hours before your scheduled service.
If payment has not been received, we will attempt to process the charge before arriving for service. If we are unable to collect payment, your appointment will be removed from the schedule.
Service can be rescheduled once payment is completed, subject to route availability.
If you need assistance, call 708-500-5016 and we will help you over the phone.
2. Payment for One-Time or Initial Cleanups
One-time and initial cleanups must be paid at least 24 hours before the scheduled service.
Failure to submit payment may result in cancellation or removal from the schedule.
3. Monthly Billing and Recurring Services
We bill monthly.
Billing occurs on the 1st of each month, before services are provided.
Initial or one-time cleanups are billed separately.
If you sign up for recurring services mid-month:
• You will be billed for your initial cleanup
• Plus the remaining cleanups for that month
Your next full monthly payment will be due on the 1st of the following month.
4. Non-Payment Policy
If payment is not received before the first scheduled cleanup of the month, service will be paused.
Services resume once payment is processed.
Monthly services already billed are non-refundable.
If you cancel mid-month, remaining paid visits may still be completed.
5. Service Hours and Arrival Times
Due to route optimization, we cannot guarantee an exact arrival time.
Service hours run from 7:00 a.m. until dark.
You will receive a message when our team is on the way and another message once service is complete, along with a gate-closure photo for your peace of mind.
Your scheduled service day is guaranteed, even though arrival time is not.
6. Do I Have to Be Home?
No. You do not need to be home during service.
Requirements:
• Easy gate access
• Pets must be friendly or safely secured
If our team has never met your dogs and you plan to have them outside, please notify us in advance.
7. Aggressive Pets and Safety Policy
Technician safety is non-negotiable.
Clients must disclose any aggressive, reactive, or territorial pet behavior in advance.
Aggressive dogs must be kept securely inside during our entire visit. If an aggressive or unsecured dog is present upon arrival, service will be skipped immediately and may still be billed.
We reserve the right to refuse, skip, or permanently discontinue service if a technician feels unsafe.
8. Water Usage for Treatments
For deodorizing or sanitizing yard treatments, we use a small amount of the client’s outdoor water supply.
We do not transport large water tanks. Treatments typically use approximately 2 to 3 gallons of water per visit, which is about the same as running a garden hose for around 3 minutes.
By scheduling treatment services, you authorize us to use your outdoor water connection as needed.
9. Holidays
If your service day falls on a major holiday:
• That week’s cleanup will be skipped
• A double cleanup will be performed the following week
You will still be billed for two weeks of service.
10. Snow and Winter Weather Policy
During winter months, snow and ice may limit our ability to remove all pet waste.
We will remove all visible and accessible waste at the time of service.
Services may be rescheduled if conditions are unsafe.
Missed or hidden waste due to snow is not grounds for refunds and will be addressed on the next visit.
11. Equipment Disinfection
We disinfect our equipment after each cleanup using an organic, kennel-grade disinfectant.
12. Data Collection and Marketing
We collect data to operate our business and provide service.
By accepting these Terms, you authorize us to:
• Use your information for operations
• Send service-related messages
• Send occasional promotions
13. Inaccessible Yard Policy
If we cannot access your yard due to locked gates or obstructions, the visit will be skipped and may still be billed. Accumulated waste will be addressed during the next visit.
14. Cancellations, Vacations, and Rescheduling
Reasonable notice is required for cancellations or schedule changes.
If you will be on vacation or your yard will be inaccessible, it is your responsibility to notify us in advance. Missed visits due to lack of notice, last-minute cancellations, or inaccessible yards may still be billed.
15. Yard Hazards, Liability, and Client Conduct
Clients must maintain a safe yard free of hazardous objects or unsafe conditions.
Clients are expected to treat our technicians with respect. Harassment, threatening behavior, or unsafe interactions may result in immediate termination of service.
Paws & Scoops is not responsible for injuries or damages caused by undisclosed hazards and reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe.
